This is another beautiful Daum vase which has unusual shape and heavily wheel polished. I think the Dahlia flower was fire polished.
Most importantly this color combination of yellowish orange and very dark reddish brown (almost black) make a beautiful contrast. I love this vase because this typical background color is something like a sky and showing space. This reminds me of a “Knou painting” in the Azuchi Momoyama priod. It is a beautiful piece.
